Alue Singapore and LinkedIn jointly brings you AlueMEETUPS, a seminar and networking platform for HR professionals to meet, network, discuss and share their ideas. The major theme for this session revolves around talent trends, recruiting and training of employees.
Southeast Asia (SEA) is a region with enormous economic potential and a growing pool of talents. Hence, Mr. Darin Williams, Director of Talent Solutions SEA at LinkedIn, will be here to share his views about the talent trends in SEA, and the three must-know talent acquisition trends and predictions in SEA for 2015. Mr Williams himself has broad Asia regional experience in developed and developing markets including Japan, Korea, Australia, Vietnam, and Singapore and excels in market entry, business strategy, and in developing highly-performing teams that make an impact while having fun.
The next speaker, Mr. Victor Kow, Principal Consultant of Victor Kow Training and Consultancy, is a specialist in Human Resource Management and Information Management. He has more than 30 years’ experience in human resource management, training & development, employee relations, information technology management and management consultancy in both the public and private sectors in the Asia Pacific region. After the discussion about talent trends in SEA, Mr. Kow will proceed into discussing competency based hiring practices in progressive organisations, an important area to look into to ensure that the right people are hired for the right jobs, as well as effective follow-up practises on the new hires to ensure their productivity and success.
